Designed for a Chartered Accountant, the challenge in this project was to fulfill all the clients requirements in the given space. 2 Director cabins, 1 conference room, 20 + staff working area, small reception and waiting, pantry and toilet, all in 800 square feet. This project finely distributed the requirements and yet manages to look appealing. The floating storage boxes, hanging conference table, use of jute ropes as subtle barriers in furniture design were a conscious choice for specific requirements along with the idea of creating layers in a volumetric space to distribute all the requirements without creating any opaque space barriers. When layering, the background becomes very important. Hence we chose a grey and black color palette as our background for the flooring, partitions, table tops and chairs. Plants, lining, chairs, yellow main door act as foreground.
